Kim Tassinari – Forging a Path Into Acting

14 Nov

Experience is the most valuable asset that aspiring actors and actresses have when they audition. Actors and actresses who are already on their way, like Kim Tassinari, take all types of acting gigs to add experience to their resumes and to network in the industry. When actors and actresses are just beginning, they still need to start forging their paths by finding consistent opportunities for experience.

Consistent acting experience isn’t possible for new talent if they’re only looking for experience with gigs. New talent will have an easier time getting regular experience if they find acting classes that allow them work on their skills. A weekly opportunity to act front of others provides the type of experience that shows in an audition. No matter how talented actors or actresses are, it is obvious to directors if they’re inexperienced at playing various roles in front of people.

A good acting class will have rave reviews from students who left the class with a career breakthrough. The coach should also help actors and actresses find representation or to find gigs if they do not want agents. Acting coaches see actors and actresses of all tiers come and go. Some stars still revisit their first acting coach for skill touch-ups. As a result, acting coaches are also invaluable networking resources.

Of course, there’s no one-size-fits-all acting path, but beginning with experience is a reliable way to succeed. Once actors and actresses have experience, they can begin forging their own paths however they would like. For Kim Tassinari, the right way to start her path was to audition for small theater rolls and television commercials. Eventually, she may hit the red carpet and tell stories about why she chose to approach her path the way she did.
